After receiving my diagnosis, it felt like a dark cloud was over my wife and I. Sometimes it’s hard to put words together that best describe my cancer journey. For 6 months, I had to learn to take one day at a time. Some days were better than others, but it was important that my wife, and I stayed positive and relied on our strong faith.

Before we found out about Hospitality House, we were staying at a hotel and it was becoming very expensive for us. When we got to Hospitality House, everyone was so welcoming and everything had been thought of. Every day we welcomed with a smile and a kind word. Hospitality House was exactly what my wife and I needed. Even after a hard day of treatment, returning to the house created a peace we could count on each day.

I would advise anyone facing their own cancer diagnosis to lean heavily on your family and friends. Make sure you surround yourself with people of strong faith and know the power of prayer. Surround yourself with positive people. I experienced some miracles along the way so I know what prayer can do.
