We are thrilled to announce the newest member of our team. Audrey Alexander Hood joins 24 Foundation as our new development director. In her role, she will lead fundraising efforts and community relationships for 24 Foundation and its events.
“We are excited to welcome Audrey [Hood] to our 24 Foundation family,” said Katherine Murphy, executive director of 24 Foundation. “Along with bringing a wealth of non-profit experience to her role, her passion lies in serving others. She is a wonderful addition to our team and will help impact our cancer community.”
In her role, Hood will work hand-in-hand with 24 Foundation’s donor partners and organizations. Previously, she worked or volunteered in several roles at organizations such as Carolina Ballet, the Junior League of Charlotte, the Mint Museum Auxiliary, and Proverbs 31 Ministries. In addition to serving on the board of directors for Teen Health Connection and the Salem College Alumnae Board, Hood competed in Dancing With the Stars of Charlotte for Carolina Breast Friends and walked the runway at Fashion Breathes Life for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Hood earned her undergraduate degree from Salem College before earning her Master’s in Elementary Education and k-12 Special Education. She and her husband live in Ballantyne with their two daughters.
